The Chester County ASD Support Group is an independent organization run by parents. Its mission is to help families access information and resources related to the challenges of living with autism spectrum disorders; to provide a venue where families can share information with each other about their experiences, engage in collaborative problem solving, and celebrate their successes; to promote legislation and other community efforts that support individuals with ASD throughout the lifespan; and to increase awareness of ASD in the community. Members communicate by participating in small group gatherings, larger meetings, and through an internet listserv.
